Skinned and Thrown About.....

this is a little long, but stick with me.. if you recall, when the building work was in full swing at the new lakefront villa (warwick), wt was having workers come and they would put them up for a year, or more, while they were providing "volunteer services".

with that, and the impending need for hundreds and hundreds of new khs in the usa territory, the congregations were abuzz with the need for "continued construction volunteers".

recently, as many of you know, wt headquarters has sent pretty much everyone home, and is no longer needing workers at the new warwick site, as the building is mostly complete, with the dedication coming up later this year.

Hoffnung I saw that happen all the time when I was at Bethel. There would be ome's who really and honestly seemed to believe it was the "truth" who had given up so much to be there and they would be placed in the worst job's, nothing that could ever be used on the outside. Then someone would come in with clear money and they would get the great job's in the air conditioned office's, the white shirts who walked down the hill, they woukd get trained and treated like gold even through they had no experience on the outside at all.

Even through I was honestly a very true believer at the time, the way some of that went down at Bethel it was putting small cracks in my faith.

dubstepped I point well taken, I know I get worked up over Richard and it is very true that what he is saying right now is true. I totally understand that, but the samething can be said about JW's. They have a lot of great point's, some thing's they say are spot on, that's how they get new one's to join.

It's just with Richard and this subject of child molesters in the JW'S he is trying his best to deflect, side rail, train wreck, throw off track, destory, make people lose any hope, anything he can do to make it seen impossible, or in his word's it's an uphill battle, to ever bring any change to have any hope that children in the JW religion might ever be safe.

The point he cannot stop is the newspaper and tv ad's, just if that is all that comes of this, that in and of it's self is HUGE. The elder's who have stood by and just winked at pedophiles holding and taking care of children in there mists will be forever looking over their shoulders wondering if someday the law's will not be on the side of the JW's attorneys and when their time might come. At least RO can't stop that.

Richard send them to the law firm that is running the ad's, come to think of it, you are so brilliant and knowledgeable about everything and everyone eles on this board is an idiot and does not have a clue about law's and how they work only you and Landy do. We all bow to your vast knowledge.

I am surprised that when you called the law firm on Monday they didn't offer you a job on the spot.

Oh right I forgot it's not a true law firm that running the ad's but only a intake dummy sitting in a cubicle seeing what fish it might catch. With your vast knowledge and intelligence you would never stoop to coming out of your parents basement to work for a stupid law firm like that.

I do have to wonder since the law's according to you are totally on the side of the JW's and since you feel that the way they handle the child molesters in the "truth" boy it turns my stomach to call it that, but I understand that you view it that way, but since your post's clearly indicate that you see no problem with the way JW"s, the GB, etc handle child molesters why are you trying to detract one's from these ad's, and $4,000 a day payment.

Unless in your gut you really are worried that your precious Jehovah's Witnesses might truly be in trouble.

Have you noticed the common practice is to knock indivual's self esteem?

in another thread, one of our members made a comment that caught my attention.. i have been trying to put my finger on a practice amongst the org and witnesses in general.... as soon as someone does something well, accomplishes something, or excels at something, the atmosphere effectiveley 'kicks them in the gut' to bring them down.. anything that makes a person grow or develop is blatently discouraged and therefore self esteem is squashed!.

the constant message telling a witness to be 'humble' is designed to suck any sense of growth or 'betterment' out of a person..... therefore this leaves the average witness to be a blubbering mess of insecurity and instability completely dependant on the organization...kind of like a 'battered-wife' scenario.... .

Also great thread. It was the same for me, even if I found a great call in service I was always told I was to stupid to keep it and another JW would just take itaway from me. I had zero confidence in myself.

And no Landy I am not going to stop posting on these 3 threads anymore than you and all the other poster's who have posted on ALL THREE of them. The last I knew you didn't own this web sight and I have not broken the rules by posting on 3 threads. I see a lot of people posting on more than one, and so your point in getting ticked off at me really seems silly, especially since you are doing the same thing.

I was just go to say it's Monday the law firm is open for sure, throes who are so sure that this is a waste of time, that it's a uphill battle, that have proof to back up what and why they are saying, instead of debating us over and over and over who can do nothing about it as we didn't place the ad's, Thoes like RO and Landy, now's the time to call, talk to someone who can help you instead of wasting your time with us and getting frustrated because we happen to disagree with you.

And even if your right at least the ad's are making a huge statement in of themselves. Just the fact that the next time a JW calls on someone's door they are going to remember these ad's. Just this publicity is a huge victory in itself.

You really think I am an idiot. OK I get that you do not understand what I am doing. Maybe you and Richard can get together and chat, over a cup of tea.

I did call the law firm and told them what is happening in my hall. I did not tell them or read them Richard's post's.

I am being sarcastic to get Richard to stop trying to scare people into believing that this is not going to work.

It's frustrating as I ama victim of abuse to to be a new person reading what what Richard say's could scare someone back to the KH, back to their abouser'.

I am just frustrated that he ueses such insane reasoning.

I guess I just never thought anyone would really take me seriously like you did.

I am just really upset at his scare tactics, as the abuse of children hits home too close to me. Sorry if I went overboard.

No it's not an operator who picked up a phone it was the law firm.

Yes it's clear you do not have anything else to do, we all understand that very much, your posts show that.

If you trully feel my calling them meant nothing and that I just talked to a mindless person in a cubicle, then why are you so worked up over this.

If the law firm is having people answer the phone who who can do nothing, but just make people who call them like me feel good they why are you so worked up again? Why all of your posts about how this is wrong, the paint by #'s,, slam dunk their hurting victioms.

Look we really and truly did not place the ad's, you need to calm down take a deep breath, maybe go outside get some fresh air. Maybe even find something that doesn't work you up so much to do and then call the law firm.

If you feel the guy you are talking to is a mindless idiot sitting in a cubicle you you can ask to speak to someone over him, and then someone over him.. Also you can go to their web sight and email them. And if you will not do that why are you so worked up over this, if you truly feel that when you call you can't talk to anyone that matters, than this is not a true law firm that you need to worry about.

Now take derp breaths, stop being so worked up, and clam down and call them.
